Lanthan.audio, the newest label from Christian Gerlach, will release its debut EP as a special edition this July featuring an original mix from UK’s Edit Select and spotlights remixes from two hypnotic troopers, Claudio PRC and Mike Parker. Lanthan, literally, is a rare earth metal in addition to something hidden or evasive in terms of Greek mythology. By combining music with both architecture and photography the goal is to not lose sight of all three art forms. Born out of the desire to deliver a diverse package, the label will feature innovative, indestructible, and powerful remixes from some of his most respected producers. Edit Select’s “Hi Line Extraction” is an irresistibly fervent track with a throbbing bass, a savage synth and stomping hi-hats, driving and mysterious sending you into a reverie. Characteristic of Mike Parker’s technique, riffs with plenty of flange transform the track into a mesmerizing piece. Claudio PRC on the other hand gives the track a whole new orientation and mood by elongating some of the authentic and crucial elements from original into swirling atmospheric tempers. There will be a lot more to come for Lanthan.audio, with their debut EP featuring such compelling artists and resonant tracks this will be a label to watch in the coming months.
